Alivia & Josh | A San Juan Mountain Church Wedding

The picturesque chapel up the Conejos Canyon in Horca was an amazing place to have Alivia and Josh’s closest family and friends for an intimate wedding. The ceremony was meaningful and simple, the love of family and friends overflowed, and the bride and groom were stunning.

My favorite part of the whole day was watching Josh’s reaction to seeing his bride for the first time. There was deep emotions in his face and tears in his eyes. I’m sure he was overcome with the beauty of his bride, but I also assume he was truely grateful to call this sweet young lady, not only his bride for the day, but his love for a lifetime.

As highschool sweethearts this wedding has been a long time in the waiting. Good things come to those who wait. The day was a special one. The weather was nice, minus the wind and mosquitos. (Alivia and Josh and the bridal party were amazingly patient with both.) The mountain scenery was spectacular. The families were so welcoming and sweet. The dinner and dance was a time for smiles and hugs. Sometimes I still can’t understand how I get to work with such amazing people! What a blessing it is to be a part of this community and be a part of these special days.
