Southern Colorado Based Photographer Celebrating Family
Savannah & Tanner finally get to say yes to each other on October 22nd in the Fort Collins Temple. I feel privileged to be not only the photographer for their wedding but also a guest at their sealing. It’s so fun to watch our family grow and bring in fantastic people like Savannah to add to our wild and crazy bunch!! Actually, even though we might be slightly wild and crazy, there is no other family I would rather be a part of. What a legacy of love my parents, Larry & Maxine Smith, have handed down to their seven kids, 32 grandkids, and 19 (and counting) great-grandchildren. My hope, for each couple in our family, is to be able to celebrate their own 50-year wedding anniversary, as my parents did this May. Savannah and Tanner are starting out on the right foot and I wish them all the best this life can bring and everything good forever has in store for them.
We chose well the time and location of their engagement session. Although it was somewhat nerve-wracking, the rain disappeared right before our session started. This was a blessing in disguise because it cleared out a normally busy San Isabel Lake and left that beautiful scenery just for us! The grass was glistening, the lake was quiet and shimmering and the sun was peaking through the trees. Other than some wet feet by the end of the session, the whole evening was perfect!!! I love finding new locations to take pictures. San Isabel Lake is stunning!
Savannah and Tanner were a pleasure to be around. They were stoked to be able there and take pictures together. Engagement sessions have a way of making the promise of forever seem official and this couple was ready for it. I loved watching them interact during the session and in the car. (Thanks for the ride, Tanner!) I loved the concern and respect they had for each other. They make a great team and are going to make a gorgeous bride and groom. I can’t wait!!!
