Morgan & Josh | Elk Creek Campground Engagement Session

They came down from Colorado Springs for the long weekend to meet my husband, Jesse, and me at Elk Creek Campground and spend the evening behind my camera. There were many little things that made this evening special. First of all, we were lucky to get this session in before the Menkhaven fire started and closed the road just one day later!!! (We are grateful the fire has now been mostly contained.)

We needed to find a spot out of the valley and away from the relentless spring wind and this was the perfect place to hide. Sometimes the campground and this breathtaking bridge are full of people. Gladly, we mostly had the whole thing to ourselves. The trees were green, the light was glowy and the setting was perfect.

But the best part of this night was the company. I told Jesse I could handle this one on my own so he could get some well-deserved rest, but he insisted on being my travel companion and assistant. He is always up for an evening with me and my amazing clients!!!! Morgan & Josh are some of the nicest people I have ever met. It was so fun to hear about wedding plans, their careers, how they are following their dreams, and their plans for the future. I am so glad I finally got to officially meet this sweet couple and enjoy capturing the love they have for one another. On the way home, Jesse and I couldn’t help commenting on how nice our time with Morgan and Josh was.

All in all, the timing was perfect, the weather was nice, the company was even better, and the evening was so fun!! I love my job and I love my clients!!!

Morgan & Josh will be tying the knot on August 12th at Riffle Water with a reception to follow at Red Bear Inn. They are going to be an awesome team and a stunning bride and groom!!!! Congratulations, Morgan & Josh!! I’m honored to be a part of this special time!!!
