Bethany & Don-Alamosa Canyon Engagement Session

It’s not every day that I get to ride to the session with my clients, but I am sure glad it worked out that way for this one!  What an opportunity to get to know these two kind people and what a fun trip!!  From their ability to make me feel comfortable and welcome, to the great conversations we had, to the amazing smiles and laughs I captured with my camera.  It all tells me that they have something special going on.  I can see the love they have for one another and for others, and I know of the good they can accomplish together in the world.

Bethany was a trooper during the session!!!  She endured the cool air, (which turned into down-right cold by the end of the evening), she braved the slick snow, (in extremely cute high heels, no less), and put up with the chilly wind that kept blowing her hair into her face.  And through it all, she would give me that amazing smile, and the cutest giggle I have ever seen!!!  Truth be told though, I don’t think the smile or the giggle had anything to do with me.  No, those were meant for Don.  He kept her smiling and laughing throughout the evening.  Don is also quick to smile and laugh, and quick to assess and take care of the needs of his fiance.  What a gentleman!!!

When I see these two interact, a quote comes to mind.  It’s not a quote from the best love story of all time or a great philosopher of love, but it is beautiful and it does seem to fit the situation.  The quote is from our beloved Dr. Suess.  He said, ““You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.”  Isn’t that what everyone wants?  And I think these two found it.  Congratulations, Bethany and Don!!!  Thank you for allowing me to capture the love between you.  It’s a beautiful thing!!!!
