Southern Colorado Based Photographer Celebrating Family
Ok, last senior session post I revealed my love for wrestling. This is something that came about by years of observing how the sport taught numerous valuable lessons. But there is another love that may run even deeper in my heart. A love that I believe I was born with and has stuck with me even into this old, I mean, older age. My love for DANCE!!! My former dance teacher often said that anything you do in life will be improved by ballet. She was living proof of this. From the way she carried herself, to the way she treated others, dance seemed to make her who she was; beautiful from the inside out.
Dance is a beautiful thing in my life also. Although I cannot pretend to be as graceful and charming as my dance teacher, I can speak of its influence in every stage of my life. I don’t get to dance as much I used to, unless you count the dancing that takes place in my kitchen. 🙂 Yet, even in this business of photography, my dance training comes back to me over and over again. You see, the same principles apply for looking beautiful, confident and relaxed in front of a camera, as they do for dancers who want to look the same way while jumping, turning and holding a plie. In other words, dancers make great models!!!
That was obvious to me from the very beginning of the session with this seasoned dancer. Kaitlyn was a perfect model and honestly, didn’t need my help. She was a natural in front of the camera. I would not be surprised if “Vogue” came knocking at her door!!!
Despite my aspirations for her, Kaitlyn would like to pursue a career in IT, or something similar, because she likes to work with computers. Other than dance, she likes to read, bake, ice skate and knit. She is involved in FCCLA and, of course, dance team at Sanford High School. She will graduate in May.
Thank you Kaitlyn, for making my job easy!!! Thank you for your beautiful smile, your sweet personality, and your perfect smize! Look out, Next Top Model!!! Whether you dance in college, or just dance in your kitchen, remember to keep dancing. Because if you are anything like me, “I Feel Better When I’m Dancin!!!!”

To start off 2020 I was able to photograph Kaitlyn as a senior in high school where she wowed me with her natural photogenic talent in front of the camera.
