Brad & Trisha Reed Family Session

This session didn’t start quite as planned.  Let’s just say I did not come prepared, to say the least, to take pictures that night.  As I explained my dilemma to the Reed family, I was sure they were not going to be pleased.  In their shoes, I would have been more than frustrated.  But to my surprise, and to true to their character, they were nothing but understanding and accommodating.  They gave no sign of irritation and were willing to do what they could to help fix the problem.  Though later than expected, we were able to start the session and actually hit on perfect lighting, less wind and a beautiful location.  My sister once gave me a quote block that I keep in my bedroom to read everyday.  It says, “Not to give away the ending, but everything is going to be ok.”  I might add to that quote, that “with good people around you” everything turns out ok.

Thank you Brad and Trisha, for your kind and understanding hearts.  Thank you for allowing me to capture this precious time in your family before little ones turn into adults and start leaving the nest.  You have one half way out the door and he will do well on his own, but it’s sure hard to see them go.  Believe me, I know!!!  It’s crazy that we spend 18 years teaching them how to be an adult and live on their own, while secretly wishing they never leave.  What an irony!!!  Well, it goes back to the quote I guess.  Everything is going to be ok!!!  In fact, my goal is not for it to just be ok, but for today to be better than yesterday and for tomorrow to be better than today.  Isn’t that what everyone wants!!!!  I am grateful I get to work with and mingle with clients that make my todays good days!  And I am grateful that I have a family that make the promise of tomorrow even better.  After all, families are the best!!!!
