Katelyn & Brandon-Penitente Engagement Session

I wasn’t the least bit taken aback when we met Brandon for the surprise wedding proposal.  I knew the set up would be amazing!  I knew he would have everything planned out perfectly!  From the four dozen-plus roses we helped him turn into a rose petal pathway, to the elaborate picture frames commemorating each year they had spent together, to the romantic set-up on the bridge, complete with lighted candles, it was all Hallmark movie material.  I knew it would be because I have known Brandon for a long time.  Well, his whole life actually!  🙂  And I have watched him give 110 percent to everything he does.  Whether it be a wrestling match, a school assignment, a job or a friendship, he is going to give his all.  So when he asked me to capture this special evening for them, I was more than excited.  I knew it was going to be good and I was getting a front-row seat.  I love my job!!!

And I love this couple!!!  Brandon endeared me long ago with his infectious smile, easy laugh, and the way he makes everyone feel comfortable and important around him.  I haven’t spent as much time with Katelyn, but it doesn’t take long to see that these two are the perfect pair.  Katelyn also has the same contagious smile and laugh and easily touches hearts through her kindness and concern for others.  What is apparent in these pictures is that Katelyn and Brandon are a breathtaking and beautiful couple, but what you can see the minute you meet them is how remarkable they are on the inside also!

Brandon & Katelyn, thank you for allowing us to ride with you to Penitente.  I loved catching up on life with you.  Thank you,  Katelyn, for being the best sport ever and walking forever in very high heels to find the exact right spots!!!!  You never once complained.  I am so impressed!  And thank you both for allowing me to have a front-row seat to your love story.  As someone once said, “Once in a while, right in the middle of ordinary life, love gives us a fairy-tale.”  Who needs Hallmark, anyway!!!!!  Congratulations, Katelyn & Brandon!!!!  You are an extra special couple to me.  I can’t wait to see what great feats you achieve together.
