Southern Colorado Based Photographer Celebrating Family
I didn’t know I was getting new neighbors until Amber suggested taking pictures at the house they were moving into and it ended up being right across the street. I have lived here for 20+ years and also never realized what an ideal location my neighbors had for pictures. The old barn, the trees, and that amazing backyard made me feel like I was much farther away from home. Truth be told, I have always admired this house. I have gone on many a walk down their quiet lane with my little ones in tow, to bypass the busy highway. My kids would either be riding their bikes or “running” with me, (I assure you, with as fast a I run, they never had much trouble keeping up). I have loved visiting and getting to know the families that have lived in this house and been my neighbors. I have a special place in my heart for Mason’s grandpa and grandma. They were our neighbors the longest, and I will always think of them as special friends. They moved to town a few years ago, and Denny passed away a short time ago, but they will always be grateful for the years we had with them right down the lane.
Amber and Mason, what a sweet family you have. Thank you for this opportunity to get to know you a little better and for sharing a fun night together. I am still laughing about Gigi’s perpetual question of, “where fox go, where fox go, where fox go.” It was so great that Beau was dragging my husband around by the end of the night to show him some cool thing he had found. And ohhhh, that cute baby you have!!!! I am glad that we have become “buds”, as your children said, and I am excited to have you just across the street. Welcome to the neighborhood!!!!
