“It is such a happiness when good people get together—and they always do.”
Jane Austen
The weekend started out at golden hour on the grounds of the Fort Collins Temple. As Mikaela made her way to the front of the temple, Kodren waited there with back turned and anticipation high. The moment would not disappoint as Mikaela tapped on her groom’s shoulder and he turned to catch his first glance of her in white. Tears welled up in his eyes as he looked on his stunning bride-to-be. That was just the beginning of a weekend full of just such moments. Over and over again, I was reminded of how special having a special someone is. MIkaela and Kodren are a great reminder of what love can do and how blessed we are when we have and share it.
The next day was the sealing and tears ran freely again as family and friends gathered to support the remarkable couple and share in their day. A temple sealing is great blessing to members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Mikaela and Kodren were grateful for this opportunity. It will be a day they never forget.
Saturday brought the rest of the gang as more friends and family joined them at the ring ceremony and reception. The Shepherd’s property was beautiful and a perfect place for the party. Emotions ran high again during the ceremony and the daddy-daughter and mother-son dances. (I may or may not have shed a few tears of my own.) The night was filled with good dancing, great food, and a ton of fun. It was a nice ending to a perfect weekend.
Congratulations, Mikaela and Kodren. I am so grateful to get to know you and am honored to have been present through all the special moments. Your an amazing couple and I’m so glad you found each other. You both deserve the best and that’s what you have found.
