Ally & Jacob | Bountiful Temple Sealing

Last year my oldest son was sealed forever to his wife in the Bountiful Utah Temple. This summer we were back in Utah to see my beautiful niece and her fiance sealed in the same temple. The Bountiful Utah Temple is quickly becoming one of my favorites!

I love the vast arches in front that provide shade on a hot day (like Ally & Jacob’s 100-degree wedding day) and create a stunning backdrop when the sun is peaking through the columns. I love the massive doors on the temple’s east side right in front of the fountain. The lawn, flowers, and trees on the same side provide a cozy place for families to sit and enjoy their visit and, of course, to take pictures. Most of all, I love that this place reminds me of some of my favorite people!

We met with Ally & Jacob the evening before the wedding to get in a few pictures during golden hour. Most of my couples chose to do this to relieve some stress on the wedding day and loosen up the timeline. Jacob said a few times after the ceremony how grateful he was that we had the majority of the bride and groom pictures already. I was grateful also. I love temple pictures any time of the day, but nothing compares to the glowy evening light. Another reason my couples love the evening-before session is the peace and quiet it affords during a crazy time. It’s a chance to get away from the planning and decorating and just be with each other for a few minutes. They love it!!!

Ally was absolutely stunning in her boho lace mermaid wedding gown. Of course, she always looks stunning, but this dress fit her perfectly. Add to that her long blonde hair left down and cute smile and she was ready for the cover of a magazine. Jacob was dashing and matched her look with his modern beige suit and trimmed beard. They definitely looked the part and rivaled any magazine models.

I loved being a part of this wedding day! Ally and Jacob are so sweet and easy-going and so fun to be around. I loved capturing their big day and the love they have for one another and for their families. I am so excited for the new family they have started and feel especially privileged to have them be a part of mine. Congratulations, Ally & Jacob!!! The best is yet to come.
