Elena Rasmussen RN

My nephew’s middle name is Andrew.  He wasn’t named after a family member or a sports hero.  He was named after his nurse at the hospital where he was born.  Although a healthy and super cute little boy today, his birth came with complications, a flight for life to Denver, and a stay in the NICU.  Without going into all the details, I will say that my brother and sister-in-law are sure their little boy would not be here today if it wasn’t for the nurse that knew exactly what to do at the right time.  Thank you, Andrea, and every nurse out there that’s everyday job is saving lives!!!!  You are amazing!!!

Elena joins her mom, sister, and this elite group of lifesavers in May.  I have no doubt she will be just as amazing!!!  She is not only smart, dedicated, and determined, but she is also kind, compassionate, and caring.  Her patients will be well cared for and feel like the most important people in the world.  That is a talent Elena possesses.  No one leaves her presence without feeling uplifted and important.  She is a people magnet!!

It was so good to spend time with Elena and her sweet family again.  The last time I took pictures of these three, a handsome young man stepped into the scene and got down on one knee.  So fun!!!  https://cassieshawcroft.com/2019/10/16/elena-spencer-engagement-session/  That was a year and a half ago and Elena and Spencer are still in love and taking life by the horns.  They have accomplished so much already and I am excited to see what they do in the future.  Thank you, Elena, for sharing your amazing life, beautiful smile, and sweet personality with me.  You will fit in well with these amazing angels we call nurses!!!!
