I love seeing pictures of this family as they fish, hike, enjoy nature, and each other.  Cahlen and DonnaMae are so invested in their children, and it shows.  Jaycee, Forrest, and Brooks are sweet kids and so fun to be around.  As I edited their pictures I had a smile on my face, remembering how they made me laugh through the whole session.  Whether it was Cahlen throwing Brooks up in the air, the kids throwing rocks in the water, or skipping along the bridge, there was always fun and laughter.  Brooks seemed to especially like my assistant, my 16 year old daughter, and she ate it up.  Of course, who wouldn’t!!  Look at those eyes.  (If only all the boys that liked her were three years old!!  🙂 ) The cold weather and frigid wind did not seem to bother them either.  This is a family that loves the outdoors and adventures so they were right at home.

Family life is not all that keeps these parents busy though.  DonnaMae spends her days teaching history, (and probably manners 😉 ), to middle school aged children.  She is a great asset to our school system.  Cahlen is the head coach of both the middle school and high school wrestling programs.  I can attest to the countless hours he spends with these boys and the difference he makes in their lives.  I have a wrestler of my own that went through Coach Keys program.  What he gained through it was priceless.  Self confidence, determination, an amazing work ethic, and an understanding of why he was doing it and what was important in life.  All this came from Cahlen’s incredible coaching skills and his great example.  I will forever be grateful for him and the wrestling program.

Cahlen and DonnaMae, thank you for allowing me to capture precious moments with these kiddos that will not be little very long.  Thank you for how you have blessed my life as you serve, teach and are good examples to my children.  I can’t think of a better family or better influences in our community.  You are an amazing and beautiful family!!!!
