Colin Lopez-Senior Session

His mom said that he wanted to take pictures at “his spot”, a river behind their house.  As I saw “his spot” for myself, I understood why he not only wanted to take senior pics there, but why he also spent a lot of time there.  It was easy to forget that we were about two minutes from their house, just through a field and one gate to get to one of the most beautiful places I have been to around here.  We were not in the mountains, but the flowing river, and plethora of aspen trees made me feel like we were.  Good call, Colin!

Colin is a senior at Alamosa High School.  He is involved in all the normal senior activities, such as pep rally’s, dances, and ball games, (oh yes, and school work 🙂 ). We took Colin’s senior pictures the day before his last homecoming.  He would be part of the royalty.  Congrats, Colin!!!  And there was a little talk about his date, dinner plans and the dance during his photo shoot.  This talk brought smiles, as it should, and I capitalized on that!!!  Colin has an infectious smile and warm personality.

Thank you,Colin for sharing “your spot” and your personality with us!  I am privileged to get to know you a little better and will be cheering you on for the future.  I end with some fitting advice from a photographer.  Life is like a camera, focus on what’s important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don’t turn out, take another shot.  Good luck your senior year and beyond, Colin!
